YourOwnWeb.com is the brainchild of veteran I.T. professional and web designer/marketer Dave Gammage. Originally founded as web design firm Digital Prairie Communications in late 2000, Dave decided that the company name needed to be more in line with the direction of the company. YourOwnWeb.com was chosen.
In November of 2008, it was decided that YourOwnWeb.com would break away from “traditional” web design firms, and begin to offer articles, videos, and other information products allowing clients and potential clients to use readily available resources to build their own websites, or at least tweak and maintain the ones they already have. While YourOwnWeb.com still offers design, hosting, and consulting services, the mission of the company has changed, allowing us to Help Others Help Themselves.
